Georgie Jones

Praised for her ‘formidable stage presence and compelling way with words’ (Reviews Hub), Georgie Jones is a poet and performer known for her humour and heart. She started her career at the Roundhouse, where she was a Poetry Slam finalist and subsequently spent 12 months as Resident Artist. Since then, she has toured all over the world, including a sell-out 20 date tour across the UK and Ireland.

She has lent her signature wit and warmth to many brands and charities, having been commissioned to write for the likes of Sky, Samsung and Heinz. More recently, Georgie was longlisted for the Forward Prize and her poem 'Reason, Season, Lifetime' was Highly Commended. Online, her work has amassed millions of views, which led to a performance on BBC Woman’s Hour, and a performance with Pitbull’s band at the O2 Arena. Well, just outside it, but that’s a technicality she refuses to dwell on.
