María Agúndez
María Agúndez is a writer, advertising voice-over artist, and illustrator under the pseudonym marigundez. At the age of twenty-one, she wrote and directed the documentary 'Los Hombres También Son Vírgenes' ('Men Are Virgins Too'), which won the award for Best Documentary
Short Film at the Premio Ciutat de Palma. She has worked in advertising production and as a lyricist for TV series soundtracks and jingles.
In 2021, she published her debut novel, Piscinas Que No Cubren (Editorial Dieciséis) and contributed to the Ombligo issue of the 'Esto Es Un Cuerpo' collection with her piece 'Una Pequeña Cueva Con Toldo', created in collaboration with photographer Laura F. Izuzquiza. Clean Houses (Casas Limpias, Temas de Hoy, 2025) is her second novel.
