Pan Macmillan SA competition Terms and Conditions
Please read these competition rules carefully. If you enter one of our competitions, we will assume that you have read these rules and that you agree to them.
1.1) To enter a competition you must be: (a) South African resident; and (b) 18 years old or over at the time of entry.
1.2) Competitions are not open to employees (or members of their immediate families) of Pan Macmillan South Africa, Macmillan Ltd or any subsidiary of Macmillan Ltd or employees of retail affiliates.
1.3) Only one entry per person.
- 1.4) To enter the Win a Krugerrand, Heads You Win competition on Pan Macmillan South Africa’s website running from the 5th of November 2018 – 31st December 2018, you will be required to sign up to Pan Macmillan South Africa’s mailing list here: https://www.panmacmillan.co.za/sign-up/heads-you-win-competition-entry. The winner will be announced on Wednesday, 16th January 2019 via Pan Macmillan South Africa’s social media platforms. Please retain a copy of your receipt stating your purchase of a copy of Heads You Win by Jeffrey Archer as one of the competition requirements.
1.5.1) To enter a Twitter competition, you will be required either to send a Twitter reply message to Pan Macmillan South Africa twitter account (www.twitter.com/PanMacmillanSA) or retweet Pan Macmillan’s competition tweet. These details will be outlined in Pan Macmillan’s competition tweet.
1.5.2) To enter a Facebook competition, you will be required to enter at www.facebook.com/PanMacmillanSA by messaging, commenting, sharing or liking our giveaway post as directed in the competition post.
1.5.3) To enter an Instagram competition, you will be required to enter at www.instagram.com/PanMacmillanSA by commenting or liking our giveaway post, or tagging us in an Instagram post and/or using a given hashtag in an Instagram post, as directed in the competition post. Any Facebook or Instagram promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. You are disclosing your information to Pan Macmillan and not to Facebook. By participating in one of our promotions you release Facebook from any and all liability in relation to the promotion.
1.6) No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost or delayed, or which are not received for any reason.
1.7) The prize and method of selecting the winner will be done by random selection from entries collected after the closing date of the said competition, whether on Pan Macmillan’s website or social networks.
1.8) The opening date and closing date are as specified in each competition, and Pan Macmillan reserves the right to amend the competition end date at any time.
1.9) If you win a competition, we will notify you by post, e-mail, Twitter or Facebook. If you win a Twitter competition, you may be required to follow Pan Macmillan (www.twitter.com/PanMacmillanSA) on Twitter in order to send your contact details via DM. Thereafter, you may choose to unfollow Pan Macmillan’s Twitter account. The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
1.10) By entering the competition the winner agrees to participate in such promotional activity and material as Pan Macmillan may require.
1.11) The panel of judges for each competition will be comprised of members of the marketing team of a relevant department of Pan Macmillan Limited.
1.12) The prize will not be transferable to another person.
1.13) No part of a prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize.
1.14) If an advertised prize is not available, we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
1.15). Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified.
1.16) This competition is being run by Pan Macmillan South Africa Ltd of 1 Jameson Avenue, Melrose Estate. (“Pan Macmillan”).
1.18) Pan Macmillan reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. Pan Macmillan may also create rules which will apply to a specific competition only. If we do this we will publish the amended competition rules and/or specific competition rules on the relevant competition page.
1.19) Pan Macmillan will endeavour to send prizes within a month of the competition end date but cannot guarantee this delivery time.
1.20) These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of South Africa.
No part of the prize can be exchanged. Till slip is required.
