Synopsis
'I don't know what I am,' Leo insists. 'All I know is that I'm living this day out of order. Every hour I spend here alternates between the before and after of Vivian's murder.'[
On New Year's Day, Leo Parker is arrested for the murder of Vivian Saint. An hour later, he is on his way to the party the night before - the murder yet to occur.
Leo can't believe - nor explain - it. He doesn't even know who he is or how he got here. The only thing he is certain of is that, at midnight, their host will die.
To prove his innocence, Leo must solve the crime himself, piecing together his purpose at Highbank Fort and his part in the fateful events that transpire within its walls.
But as each hour ends Leo is thrust forward or backward in time, a pendulum swinging, the clock ticking inexorably to the midnight murder. And someone at the party is determined to ensure time is not on his side . . .
