Synopsis
On a bright sunny morning, a train leaves London for the south coast. A carriage explodes - just one, the first-class carriage, the others largely unaffected.
All fourteen passengers are dead in an instant. Including a 48-year-old woman travelling alone named Arina. She is the second cousin to Russian Oligarch Oleg Drokov, the third wealthiest man in the world.
MI5's Jack Davidson knows Arina is the only person of any renown among the victims - and there are no links to anyone else, or any concrete reasons for a terrorist attack. Could a second-cousin to a Russian tycoon, who has been out of the limelight for decades, possibly have been the target? And if so, what secrets about the Russians could she be hiding that would warrant such a devestating crime?
