Trinity Pascoe's mum works so hard to keep them both - and Trinity is determined to earn some extra cash this summer to be able to treat her. So she takes a waitressing job at an extravagant Leavers' Dinner at the uber posh, but conveniently nearby, Tyburn School. She is not surprised by the long shift or the entitled teenagers. But then she is groped by charismatic but arrogant Wolfie Chatto, which leaves her furious, humiliated and powerless. At the end of the dinner though, the atmosphere changes dramatically and she overhears talk of a secret society - The Scavengers - and a clandestine summer-long hunt for increasingly difficult-to-obtain items. All the objects are located at the glittering events of the London Season, from Henley Regatta to Queen Charlotte's Ball. Once found, a life-changing prize of a million and one pounds is within reach.
