Neurotic children's author, Ben, and straight-talking, jobbing actress, Charlotte, are stumbling into their forties having messed everything up. At school they were best mates with golden futures. Now, Ben's trying to scratch a living writing poo-based picture books, Charlie's in a career cul-de-sac, both are single, and their school reunion is looming.
