Every year on 21 February, we celebrate International Mother Language Day – a time to acknowledge linguistic diversity around the world and the special mother languages that define us as South Africans. To mark the occasion this year, we are excited to share a new way to experience one of our favourite local publications. Introducing: The All That I Am audiobook!
A True Mzansi Collaboration
What makes this digital release so special is the authenticity of the voices behind it. We didn’t just want the words spoken; we wanted them felt. The English sections of the collection are narrated by the wonderful Refiloe Moahloli. For the poems and songs in our other official languages, we invited the respective writers to narrate their own work. Hearing a poem in isiZulu, Afrikaans, or Sepedi read by the person who breathed life into it adds a layer of magic that you can’t get anywhere else.
