Aspiring paleontologists of 9+could not find a more handsome guide than the giant Dinosaurium, written with clarity and sophisticated information by Lily Murray, and illustrated in impressive detail with Chris Wormell's phenomenal woodcuts. It makes knowledge ravishing.
Lots of dinosaur non-fiction this year, but this new volume in the Welcome to the Museum series is hard to beat. In the same museum exhibition style as Animalium et al, over 50 popular and lesser-known species are presented in a curated guide. Each entry is profiled on double-page spreads, with input from a leading palaeontologist.
