Reviews
History made real... don't miss the ride!
Outstanding nonfiction book with spectacular fold-out illustrations and bite-sized facts. This highly engaging hardback also explains how artefacts are preserved and who looks after them. It's perfect for KS2 classrooms for reading, sharing and dipping into.
Locked in the Museum caught my eye immediately. I opened it. I loved it. Then I discovered there was more to it than I had realised! I was busy exploring the book, following the adventure, visiting the galleries before I realised that the pages fold out and there was even more to engage with. Brilliant! It's one of the best ways to get more into a book, to encourage greater engagement and it works too, even on the adults!
With several fold out spreads extending the number of objects available to view, there is an absolute wealth of fantastic exhibits to discover and linger over, and readers are also introduced to the conservators, palaeontologists and others who work in the museum.
