This book is an absolute gem - full of humour, heartbreak and love, vividly bringing to life the people and places of post-war Liverpool.
Heartstrings are tugged in this gritty Liverpool saga which is beautifully written. . . Saga writing at its best. . . a poignant reminder of how society has changed.
