Synopsis
From the author of the hotly anticipated Apple TV series Imperfect Women
‘A thrilling escape with the most unexpected twists’ – Elisabeth Moss
YOUR SECRETS AREN'T SAFE.
Ten years ago, Hope left Somerset with a fatal secret and a broken heart. She has spent a decade in the shadows, living a quiet life of penance to protect the man she once loved - the world-famous author Ambrose Glencourt.
YOUR LIFE IS NOT YOUR OWN.
Then, she opens his latest bestseller. To the world, it’s a brilliant work of fiction. To Hope, it’s a betrayal. Every private moment, every dark truth, and every ‘fatal disaster’ from that summer is laid bare on the page.
YOUR TRUTH IS A LIE.
But Ambrose has changed the ending. In his version of the story, Hope isn't the victim. She’s the villain.
Now, Hope must step out of the shadows to reclaim her narrative. But in a world of glamorous elites and whispered secrets, who will believe the word of an unreliable woman against the word of a literary icon?
Two narrators. One truth. And a secret worth killing for.
Praise for Araminta Hall:

Reviews
Araminta Hall needs to be your next obsession. She is an utter genius, especially when it comes to writing about toxic relationships. Unreliable Narrator is clever, beautifully written and next level creepy. I loved it to death
What a dark, immersive feminist thriller. Hall writes so powerfully about monstrous men, and the privilege that allows them to exist; about the women they break so carelessly; and about a glittering setting that turns out to be as toxic as it is intoxicating. But – as her name suggests – there is always Hope, and I was cheering her protagonist on as she became increasingly intent on reclaiming her narrative and wreaking justifiable revenge. Clever, sharp, and simmers with a perfectly contained rage
Evocative and menacing, Unreliable Narrator moves in a direction you won’t expect towards a gripping, really satisfying conclusion
One of those books that will stay with me long after I've finished turning the pages
